A driver is facing the consequences after Barrie police say she was stopped while speeding on local roads. Around 11 a.m. on Sunday, police say officers stopped the driver along Dunlop Street West. According to police, the vehicle was travelling at 103 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone. “Our roads are not racetracks,” Barrie police said in a social media post about the incident. “And we’re not handing out trophies,” police added. “Please drive responsibly to ensure everyone’s safety.” The driver, a 34-year-old Collingwood woman, is now facing a stunt driving charge, a 30-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impound.
