An Oro-Medonte couple’s love for photography and travel has led to a unique creation—stunning images printed on Italian stone. Jan Novak and his wife Tamara Scearce of Art on Stone only use their best shots on the imported stone, travelling the world to capture each individual one. Jan told CTV News that the memories last as long as the stone itself. Their small home business runs out of Oro-Medonte and has gained global traction. “I mean we’ve gone as far as south Africa, we’ve gone to New Zealand, we’ve gone to Australia. Not yet to Asia, but a lot of Europe and definitely north America. Some of the places are so remote we have to phone them to find out,” said the couple. The two print all images at their location using archival paper to ensure the highest quality work. The pair is off to new Zealand soon, but until then people can catch them at their Horseshoe Valley studio every weekend until Christmas.
