Provincial police are investigating a motorcycle crash in Dufferin County Saturday evening where the rider reportedly sustained serious injuries. According to Dufferin OPP, officers were called to River Road between Mill Street and Mulmur-Melancthon Townline at around 5:40 p.m. for reports of a single motorcycle crash. Police say they learned that a group of motorcyclists were travelling together on River Road when one of them left the roadway and hit a tree. “As a result of the collision, the lone motorcycle driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre,” confirmed Dufferin OPP Sgt. Terri-Ann Pencarinha in a news release. The area was closed for several hours as emergency crews worked on the scene.
