A 19-year-old Bracebridge man has been charged after allegedly fleeing from police. Authorities say on Friday at 5:45 p.m., an officer was out patrolling around Muskoka Road 118 near Pine Glen Road in Muskoka Lakes Township when they noticed “very concerning driving behaviour” from a vehicle travelling eastbound. The officer tried to pull over the vehicle but police say the driver sped away. According to police, at that point, the officer did not pursue the vehicle due to public safety, but managed to find and pull over the vehicle not long after in Port Carling. The man has been charged with dangerous operation, flight from police, stunt driving and failure to display two plates. The accused is set to appear in court at a later date.
