Provincial police say a months long investigation has come to a close and one person is facing a number of charges. The investigation began in the summer and was the result of joint efforts from OPP Community Street Crime Units from Nottawasaga and Huronia West, coming together with Central Region Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement. Police say the investigation led them to suspect illegal drugs were being trafficked in Alliston, Ont. On Wednesday, police raided a home in Alliston with the help of a search warrant and seized 41 grams of suspected fentanyl, 38 grams of suspected cocaine and $630 in Canadian currency. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Adjala-Tosorontio man was charged with two counts of possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order. The accused is due back in a Bradford court at a later date.
