Internationally acclaimed soprano Measha Brueggergosman-Lee is performing three Christmas concerts across Nova Scotia this week - her first holiday shows in the province in several years. The tour, Christmas At Home, will make stops in Sydney on Dec. 6, Halifax on Dec. 8, and Truro on Dec. 9, with Brueggergosman-Lee joined by longtime collaborators. “It’s going to be so much fun,” she said. “My musicians are large and in charge… guitarist Steve Lee, my favourite band member, who I also married, Aaron Davis on piano and Michael Eckert on pedal steel.” Brueggergosman-Lee says the chance to bring a full holiday production back to Nova Scotia is meaningful on both a personal and professional level. “It feels so great to be able to create here in Nova Scotia,” said Brueggergosman-Lee. “To be able to rehearse in my house, pick my kids up from school, get my musicians from the airport, bring in musicians from the area… I love it.” Tickets for all three concerts are available online.
