Two men are facing charges following an alleged assault in Elmsdale, N.S., and a collision in Windsor Junction, N.S., Tuesday. Police say officers responded to a report of an assault in progress on the roadway in the 200 block of Highway 214 in Elmsdale around 2 p.m. “Officers learned two men travelling in a dark-coloured BMW hatchback had stopped their vehicle and assaulted two occupants of a pickup truck after an apparent road rage incident. The suspects also damaged the pickup truck before fleeing the area at a high rate of speed,” read a news release from RCMP. RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment then responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision involving a dark blue BMW at the intersection of the Fall River Road and Windsor Junction Road around 2:25 p.m. Police say two men and one woman exited the BMW and fled into a wooded area. No injuries resulting from the collision were reported. RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, with assistance from East Hants RCMP, the Halifax Regional Police Canine Unit, a remotely piloted aircraft system and tips from the public, tracked the two men and woman. “The three were picked up by a Honda Civic on Logan Ln. before officers could arrest them. Officers then located the Civic on Kinsac Rd. where five occupants were arrested,” the release reads. As a result of the investigation, Rocky Augustus Syliboy, 43, of Sipekne’katik, is charged with: Shane Michael Frizzell, 33, of Shubenacadie, is charged with: Both men were held in custody and are scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie provincial court on Thursday.
