P.E.I. man, 70, dies after vehicle ends up in marsh

A 70-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in P.E.I. on Tuesday.

A 70-year-old man has died after his vehicle left the road in Kelly’s Cross, P.E.I., Tuesday afternoon.

Queens District RCMP responded to a 911 call about the single-vehicle collision on Route 13 around 1 p.m.

Police say the vehicle left the road and ended up in a marsh. The driver, who was from Cornwall, died at the scene.

“Crapaud Fire Department, Island EMS and Provincial Department of Transportation also responded to the incident,” said the RCMP.

“Route 13 was closed for approximately two hours. The investigation remains ongoing.”
