A police officer on Vancouver Island is being investigated after he allegedly used police training videos and images his fellow officers to promote his personal fitness business.

The Times Colonist has reported that Sgt. Todd Lamb of the Saanich Police is facing an internal misconduct investigation.

Saanich Police Board Chair, Mayor Richard Atwell, says the police department's professional standards office is reviewing whether Lamb's actions comply with the Police Act.

The article reports that Lamb allegedly used a 27-minute Youtube video to describe himself as the leader of an elite SWAT team and one of the top tactical fitness experts in the world. (CFAX)
