A handful of Vancouver Island airports are getting some provincial cash for upgrades and improvements.
Alberni Valley Regional Airport will get just under $730,000 for runway listing improvements.
Campbell River’s airport is receiving more than $900,000 for a new fueling facility.
Comox Valley Airport is being given $35,000 for apron repairs.
Altogether, the province is spending $8-million for improvements at 23 community and regional airports across B.C.
The biggest projects are repairing the apron at Kamloops Airport for just under $2.6-million, and $1.2 for a new terminal building at the Trail Regional Airport.
