A house fire in Saanich on Saturday originated in the chimney, according to officials.
Fire crews were called to a blaze in the 1000-block of Valewood Tr. around 1 p.m.
Emily Carr Drive was closed in both directions as crews worked to knock down the fire.
No one was injured in the incident.
The damage to the house is estimated at $75,000.
Traffic in the area was affected for about an hour and a half.
