Heads up drivers: Gas prices around Greater Victoria have fallen below $1 per litre as the price of oil continues to plunge.

Most gas stations in Victoria, Esquimalt, Saanich, Langford and Sidney were reportedly selling regular gas for 99.9 cents per litre, according to the website GasBuddy.com.

The Costco in Langford listed the cheapest gas at 93.4 cents per litre.

Prices were as high as $1.13 as recently as Jan. 8.

The last time gas fell below $1 in the region was almost exactly one year ago.

The drop comes as the cost of crude oil fell to below $30 a barrel for the first time since 2003.
