VICTORIA - The B.C. Coroners Service says it has identified a man found dead in Victoria more than 20 years ago.

Kenneth Boseley's name was not known when he died at the age of 35 in October 1994, and subsequent genetic attempts to identify the man failed.

The agency says its coroners were reviewing historic files when they determined the case could still be solved, so they contacted the RCMP's unidentified human remains unit.

The coroner says with the help of the Victoria Police Department's records section, the agencies managed to identify the man.

Boseley's family has been notified if his death.
