Winnipeg police have arrested a 29-year-old man after investigators say he pulled a gun on another driver during a road rage incident. Officers were called just before 6 a.m. to a report of a gun in the area of St. James Street and Ness Avenue. Police learned the incident unfolded following a road rage incident between two men. Police said a man pulled up to another driver and started an argument about his driving. At one point, the man pulled out a gun, police said. The other driver drove off, but he was followed by the suspect, eventually being forced to stop when the suspect pulled in front of him. “The suspect got out of his vehicle while still brandishing the black handgun before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the area when he saw the victim contacting police,” police said in a news release. The 53-year-old victim was not physically injured according to police. Following an investigation, police went to a home on Beachham Crescent around 7:30 p.m. and arrested a man. He has been charged with assault with a weapon and was released on an undertaking. None of the charges have been tested in court.
