Warm, sunny week ahead in Windsor with UV index remaining very high

Warm and mostly sunny conditions continue in the first week of June, with temperatures climbing into the low 30s by the end of the week.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for sunny skies to start Tuesday, with conditions shifting to a mix of sun and cloud near noon. The daytime high is forecast to reach 25 C, with a UV index of 8, considered very high.

Skies will clear somewhat overnight, with just a few clouds expected and a low dipping to 10 C.

The warming trend continues Wednesday with mainly sunny conditions and a high of 27 C. The UV index will again reach 8. Clear skies are forecast for Wednesday night, with a low of 14 C.

By Thursday, temperatures will climb further, with sunny conditions and a projected high of 31 C. The clear weather will persist into the evening, with an overnight low of 19 C.

Friday’s forecast points to even hotter conditions, with sunshine and a high of 32 C. Increasing cloudiness is expected overnight, bringing a slightly cooler low of 18 C.

The stretch of dry, sunny weather may break on Saturday, when skies turn cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. Despite the increased cloud cover, temperatures are expected to remain warm, with a high of 28 C.
