Warm, mostly sunny conditions to dominate Windsor forecast before rain chances return

Windsor and Essex County are in for a stretch of warm, mostly sunny weather through the end of the work week, with temperatures reaching the 30 C mark before a chance of showers returns for the weekend.

Environment Canada is calling for mainly sunny conditions today, with a high of 27 C. The UV index is forecast to reach 8, considered very high. Overnight, skies will become partly cloudy, with a low of 13 C.

Thursday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, with winds pushing temperatures higher to around 30 C. The UV index will climb further to 9, also rated very high. Clear skies are expected Thursday night, with a milder low of 18 C.

The hot and dry pattern is forecast to continue into Friday, with sunny conditions and another high near 30 C. Cloud cover will begin increasing overnight, bringing a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 18 C.

A shift toward more unsettled weather is expected for the weekend. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a daytime high of 25 C. Similar conditions are forecast Saturday night, with a low of 17 C.

Sunday is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud, again with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 27 C.
