Humid, stormy conditions expected Tuesday before cooler weather arrives in Windsor-Essex

Windsor-Essex can expect unsettled weather Tuesday, with showers, possible thunderstorms and hazy conditions before cooler, drier weather arrives midweek.

Environment Canada is forecasting a few showers to end early this morning, followed by mainly cloudy skies and a 30 per cent chance of additional showers through the morning and early afternoon. More showers are expected to develop later in the day, with a risk of thunderstorms.

Temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 27 C, feeling closer to 35 with the humidex. The UV index is expected to reach 7, which is considered high.

Conditions are expected to improve Wednesday, with cloudy skies giving way to clearing late in the afternoon. Northwesterly winds will continue at 30 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h, while temperatures will be noticeably cooler, reaching a high of 21 C.

A stretch of sunny and seasonable weather is forecast to settle in for the latter part of the week. Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high of 24 C and a low of 10 C overnight under clear skies.

Sunny conditions are also forecast for Friday, with temperatures climbing to a high of 27 C.
