The Detroit Tigers are climbing the MLB’s American League standings. The Tigers took on Cleveland on Thursday, defeating them 3-0 to take the last wild card spot. Friday, they are set to host the Chicago White Sox, who are currently leading the Central Division. The White Sox have a two and a half game lead over the Tigers. Some fans believe this weekend could be crucial to make the playoffs. “The bats are finally coming around a little bit. The defense is solid,” said Jason Crowley, Tigers fan. “Riley [Greene] is out for a couple of weeks, which kind of hurts, but they’ve got some depth in the outfield, and I just think they’re playing fairly well. Little worried about the bullpen still, but we’ll see what happens. Have been a problem all year, but they’re kind of pulling it together right now.”
