Abbotsford police are investigating after a video circulating online appears to show two vehicles racing one another in a 30 km/h zone. Police shared the video on social media Thursday, saying it shows the vehicles “racing dangerously” through traffic on Old Yale Road near McMillan Road at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Investigators said they have obtained the original video posted online and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam video of the vehicles involved to email the detachment at communications@abbypd.ca. “Dangerous driving behaviours, including excessive speeding and reckless driving, put all road users at risk and will not be tolerated,” AbbyPD said in a statement. “Community reports play an important role in helping keep our roads safe.” Anyone who witnesses similar incidents is asked to report them to authorities as soon as possible by calling AbbyPD at 604-859-5225 or texting 222973.
