Stolen truck, cocaine and fentanyl seized in early morning arrest in Abbotsford, B.C.

Two people were taken into custody after police stopped a stolen vehicle and uncovered hundreds of grams of suspected fentanyl and cocaine in Abbotsford, B.C.

The traffic stop occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday, when an officer with the Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Service reported a suspicious pickup truck in the 39400 block of No. 3 Road.

A licence plate check revealed the plate did not match the vehicle, the Abbotsford Police Department said in a statement Friday.

Abbotsford officers attended the area and stopped the truck.

“A high-risk arrest was conducted, and two occupants were taken into custody without incident,” the statement said.

Investigators confirmed the truck had been stolen in Edmonton.
