Two people were taken to hospital on Friday morning after two vehicles collided in the middle of a Victoria intersection.

VicPD says a small compact car was heading westbound on Bay Street and a SUV was travelling southbound on Quadra Street when they collided in the intersection.

The crash happened around 8 a.m.

“Even though it’s Remembrance Day and relatively calm we encourage people to pay attention and look out, look left and right as they’re going through intersections,” Const. Ari Knazan said.

Two people suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for observation.

The investigation is ongoing but charges are not expected to be laid, police say.
