Police seek help in identifying a suspect in connection with a voyeurism incident in Scarborough

Police say a suspect was seen entering various backyards near Birchmount and Finch on Saturday and Monday nights.

Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a voyeurism investigation.

On Monday, around 6 p.m., police received reports of a male who was seen entering several backyards in the area of Birchmount Road and Finch Avenue East in Scarborough.

The male suspect was also captured committing an indecent act while “peering” into the victim’s home on surveillance video, police said in a press release published Tuesday.

When confronted, the suspect claimed he was delivering food, and was last seen walking towards Timberbank Park.

Images of the suspect have been released by police.

The suspect is described as 35 to 50 years old, between five-foot-six and five-foot-10 tall, with a medium to large build. He was last seen wearing black running shoes with white soles, a blue nylon jacket with a hood and a white mark on the left sleeve, black track pants and a dark baseball cap, police said.

Police also believe there may be more victims and are appealing for any leads connected to the suspect or other similar incidents that may have been captured on surveillance videos.
