Man in his 20s dead after shooting in North York

Police investigating after a man in his 20s died in hospital following a late-night shooting in North York on Friday May 29, 2026 (CP24 photo).

A man in his 20s has died in hospital following a late-night shooting in North York, Toronto police say.

The incident happened in the area of Sheppard Avenue West and Magellan Drive area shortly after 10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they say that they found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was then rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear but police say the suspect(s) fled in a dark coloured vehicle.
