No one injured in plane crash near La Ronge

RCMP say a plane crash reported northwest of La Ronge did not result in any injuries.

At around 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday, La Ronge RCMP received a report of a plane crash on Nemeiben Lake, about 25 kilometres northwest of the northern Saskatchewan community.

Officers responded along with local EMS and fire crews.

RCMP say the plane’s sole occupant was assessed at the scene by EMS and did not report any injuries.

An investigation determined the plane did not collide with or damage any nearby structures and no one else in the area was hurt.

Police say Transport Canada has been notified.

RCMP say the incident is not considered criminal and no further details are available.
