The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) is asking the public for help finding suspects who have been throwing rocks at vehicles over the past eight weeks. In a social media post on Wednesday, the MJPS say they have gotten at least 12 reports of people throwing rocks from the train bridge on the 300 block of Fairford Street East and the train bridge over Manitoba Street East. According to police, six of the reports occurred within the last week, with unidentified youth seen fleeing the area around the time of the incidents. The police service is asking the public to identify the suspects responsible, reminding them throwing rocks at vehicles is a crime. “This is not a harmless prank,” the post read, noting it causes damage to vehicles and could cause serious injuries. “Those responsible could face criminal mischief charges.” Anyone with information is asked to either call the MJPS or submit a report online.
