East Regina vehicle fire was deliberately set, police say

Regina police are investigating after another vehicle was damaged by fire but are unable to say if it’s connected to an earlier arson.

Regina police say they are investigating a vehicle fire in the Creeks neighbourhood as an arson.

Photos submitted to CTV News on Thursday show a truck engulfed in flames on East Sandpiper Crescent as fire crews attempt to put out the blaze.

According to the resident, the fire occurred at around 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

In a brief statement to CTV News, the Regina Police Service confirmed the incident was under investigation as an arson.

Police are expected to release more details as the investigation progresses.
