City of Regina offering free compost to residents this weekend

Residents can pick up free compost in Regina this weekend, while supplies last.

To celebrate Compost Awareness Week, the City of Regina is offering free compost to residents this weekend.

Residents can bring pails and shovels directly north of the Waste Management Centre to collect the compost while supplies last. The entrance is on Prince of Wales Drive.

There is a limit of three five gallon pails per household.

The compost is made from green cart material, which residents can use for gardens, flower beds, or landscaping projects.

The depot is open both Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
