Woman taken to hospital in serious condition following single-car collision in Barrhaven

Ottawa paramedics say a woman in her 20s was transported to the hospital in serious condition following a single-vehicle collision in Barrhaven on Saturday morning.

Paramedics say they responded to the collision on Strandherd Drive near Longfields Drive at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The incident involved a single car, and paramedics say the woman they treated was the lone occupant.

In a post on the social media site X, Ottawa police said Strandherd Drive is closed near Longfields Drive. Police said people should avoid the area and expect significant delays near the site of the collision.
