Here’s how the long weekend is looking, weatherwise, in Ottawa

The unofficial kick-off to summer is here and the temperatures are reflecting it.

Environment Canada’s forecast for Ottawa this long weekend calls for highs in the 20s and plenty of sunshine, though there could be a few showers here and there.

Friday’s forecast is mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 22 C.

Expect a partly cloudy evening with a chance of showers, then a clear sky overnight and a low of 9 C.

Saturday’s forecast is sunny in the morning with some clouds in the afternoon and another 30 per cent chance of showers, with a high of 23 C.

Sunday is looking sunny with a high of 21 C.

The forecast for Victoria Day is mostly sunny with a high of 25 C.

After that, Ottawa could see its first 30 C day of the year on Tuesday.
