Armoured vehicle employee shot at Waterloo, Ont. bank

BREAKING: Police now say that the victim worked for an armoured vehicle company and was approached by unknown suspects who shot them.

One person was transported to hospital early Wednesday morning following a shooting in Waterloo.

Waterloo Regional Police said shots were heard near the intersection of Fischer Hallman Road and Erb Street West. Hours later, police tape still surrounded a nearby parking lot.

One person was found there with a gunshot wound.

Police said they were taken to hospital but shared no further details about severity of the victim’s injuries.

“This is believed to be a targeted incident,” a media release said. “The suspects are outstanding at this time.”
