Police in Sault Ste. Marie are investigating a sudden death after a body was discovered at the Bellevue Marina on Pine Street on Wednesday morning. “Officers are no longer on scene but the investigation is ongoing,” police said in a news release Wednesday afternoon. Police asked the public to avoid the area for most of the morning, beginning at 10:30 a.m. CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca reporter Cory Nordstrom said multiple witnesses told him they saw a body on the dock as early as 10 a.m. Police said June 25 that the death was not considered suspicious. Other witnesses said they saw a vehicle -- a grey SUV -- being pulled out of the Bellevue Marina just before 3 p.m.
