Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death on Oct. 17 in Moosonee. Officers and the area health authority responded to a call at 6:15 a.m. on Wabun Road where one person was sent to hospital and later died, police said in a news release Sunday. “A young person is in custody and the investigation is ongoing,“ police said. “Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate risk to public safety.” Police have asked anyone with information that could assist with the investigation to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
