OPP clamp down on drug trafficking charging two men in Burk’s Falls

Ontario Provincial Police say two Muskoka area men have been charged with drug trafficking following an investigation that began earlier this year.

OPP said, in a news release, that while executing a search warrant on June 4 at a Main Street home in Burk’s Falls, officers seized suspected cocaine, crystal meth, Percocet, crack cocaine, digital scales and more than $1,700 in cash.

A 52-year-old Burk’s Falls man and a 34-year-old man from Bracebridge both face multiple drug trafficking charges. The 52-year-old is also charged with failing to comply with a release order and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police said the Bracebridge man is scheduled to appear in court in Sundridge on July 9, while the Burk’s Falls man remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
