A tractor-trailer driver from British Columbia has been charged after police in Ignace received a report of a suspected impaired driver last weekend. Charges include impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration of more than 80. “The OPP reminds motorists that alcohol impairs judgement, reaction time and driving ability,” Ontario Provincial Police said on social media. “Never operate a motor vehicle/commercial motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It’s not worth it.” Anyone who sees a suspected impaired driver is urged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online.
