A 65-year-old man is in custody after provincial police allege he pointed a firearm at another person during a property dispute over the weekend. “Ontario Provincial Police responded to a weapons call at a residence on Jody Lane in Aweres Township,” OPP said in a news release Tuesday. Police said the incident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. on Sept. 5 Multiple charges laid As a result of the investigation, the local man was charged with pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm and mischief. He was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
