Greater Sudbury jumps to 12 active COVID-19 cases

Sudbury — Public Health Sudbury & Districts reported four new COVID-19 cases in Greater Sudbury Friday evening.

This is on top of the four cases that were reported Thursday night

This brings the number of active cases in the city to twelve, all within a week and a half, with ten since Tuesday.

Three of the new, positive cases are recorded as "contacts of a travel-related case," the fourth is marked by public health officials as "travel-related." All four individuals are currently self-isolating.

This brings the total case-count in the region of Sudbury and districts, since the start of the pandemic, to 122.

Through contact tracing, public health says it will notify all close contacts directly.
