From business executive to writer, author and now writing coach, Suzy Vadori of Calgary is enthusiastic about the path life has taken her. “I did not know I was going to leave the business world, but I always knew that I was going to write a book one day,” Vadori said. “And that one day came when I was on maternity leave with my third child -- and she is 14 now.” She says that at the time, it was harder to find information on how to draft a book than she thought. “It led me down a path that took me two and a half years to finish the book,” said Vadori. “It took me two more years to find a publisher. And after Book 2 in the series was published, my career started to take off.” Vandori says that is when she became more in demand, she was asked to speak and teach about writing. Began teaching “I was so busy writing, talking about writing and teaching about writing that I didn’t have time anymore to be a business executive.” As a former operations executive in the business world, she says she had learned so much about the writing process along the way. “I think in matrices,” Vandori says. “I was able to take patterns of every piece of information I had and really started hard to perfect my craft.” The Calgary-native says she had excellent coaches and editors and finally figured out the process, and now she helps other people. “I am a book coach. I help people from different walks of life that have not written a book before figure this process out.” Vadori has written three books to date and says this is her dream job.
