Attempted murder charged laid in Thunder Bay

A 36-year-old man from Thunder Bay, Ont., is facing multiple charges following a police investigation that began last month.

“Officers initially began the investigation on March 14 in response to a call for service,” the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a social media post.

On April 8, the service’s Major Crime Unit became involved in the investigation.

Two days later, on April 10, officers located and arrested a suspect during a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, the local resident has been charged with attempted murder, breaking and entering a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence and counselling an indictable offence which was not committed.

The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
