A former massage therapist in Quebec’s Laurentians region was arrested by Quebec provincial police on Tuesday in connection with several sexual assaults. Maxime Sauvé, 35, appeared at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse and was charged with sexual offences. He was released on bail and is expected back in court in June. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says it has reason to allege Sauvé was involved in three separate incidents of sexual assault while working as a massage therapist. The alleged assaults took place between January 2018 and November 2025. Investigators say they have reason to believe there may be other victims. As several victims have already been identified, the Serial Crime Investigation Management Unit has been deployed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SQ’s Criminal Information Centre at 1-800-659-4264.
