Three men in their 20s allegedly stole a vehicle in Varennes, northeast of Montreal, on Friday afternoon, triggering a three-car collision that injured one person, before crashing into an electrical pole and fleeing on foot from police. The Richelieu-Saint-Laurent police (RIPRSL) received a 911 call from a witness reporting a stolen Ford F-150 on a residential street. The stolen vehicle fled and collided with a car stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Marine Boulevard and Route 132. The impact caused the first car to hit a second vehicle, which then hit a third. One person sustained minor injuries in the collision. The vehicle then fled the scene before hitting an electrical pole, prompting the three men to exit the vehicle and flee on foot from police. Police pursued and arrested all three men. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
