Here are the Quebec restaurants that made the 2026 Michelin guide

Four more Quebec restaurants have been given Michelin stars, including Hoogan et Beaufort in Montreal.

Grab a napkin, tuck it in classily, pick up a fork and dig in.

Michelin’s new guide has a selection of eateries for foodies and those wanting to impress significant others on a date.

Four restaurants in Quebec can now add a Michelin star to their names, as a selection of others were given nods for mindfulness, good value and other reasons.

The global restaurant 2026 guide for Quebec was released on Wednesday, including Bib Gourmand nods for great eats at reasonable prices, green stars for “mindful gastromony,” and top professionals in the field.

Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc’s Auberge Saint-Mathieu in the Mauricie Provincial Park overlooking Lake Bellemare is a notable selection for 2026.

Samy Benabed also picked up the Michelin Young Chef Award at the Auberge, which also received a green star for its “mindful” leadership.

The three other establishments promoted to one star for “high quality cooking” were:

• Sushi Nishinokaze, 5400 Saint-Laurent Boul., Montreal
• Hoogan et Beaufort, 4095 Molson St., Montreal
• Le Clan, 44 Jardins St., Quebec City

For those who appreciate a fine pairing, Hoogan et Beaufort’s Hugo Dechesne also picked up the Sommelier Award.

“The experience of wine is complete, either from some pairings, some explanations about the wine,” said Dechesne. “It’s kind of a storytelling that goes from the beginning to the end of the meal. It’s a great it’s a great experience with the wine also.”

Quebec City’s Tanière³ is the province’s only two-star restaurant, having maintained its second star this year.

ARVI (Quebec City), Restaurant Jérôme Ferrer - Europea (Montreal), Kebec Club Privé (Quebec City), Laurie Raphaël (Quebec City), Légende (Quebec City), Mastard (Montreal), Narval (Rimouski) and Sabayon (Montreal) also all maintained their stars.

Michelin describes green star restaurants as those that “inspired and impressed inspectors with their committed vision for the future of gastronomy.”

The three new restaurants acknowledged for their “inspiring vision” are:

• Coteau, 10 Saint-Antoine St., Quebec City
• Huit 100 Vingt, 820 9e Rd., Sainte-Marcelline-de-Kildare
• Les Mal-Aimés, 429 Route 253, Cookshine-Eaton

Espace Ole Mill in Stanbridge maintained its green star.

The Bib Gourmand list includes 23 restaurants from across the province, including seven new entries:

• Baumier, 695A Avila R., Piedmont
• Bibine Buvette, 210 Brock St., Drummondville
• Buvette Gentille, 72 Saint-Jean-Baptiste St., Baie-Saint-Paul
• Coquette, 10041 Royale Ave., Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
• Le Clocher Penche, 203 Saint-Joseph St. East, Quebec City
• Limbo, 45 Mozart Av. West, Montreal
• Saindoux Restaurant BBQ, 100 Notre-Dame St. South, Sainte-Marie

Quebec City’s Le Clocher Penché mixologist Thomas Pélissier received the Exceptional Cocktails award, and Asteur’s Victoria Savoie in Boisbriand is Michelin’s outstanding service recipient.

“2026 marks another tremendous year of achievements for your restaurant community as we welcomed four new starred restaurants into the Michelin Guide family,” said Michelin International Director Gwendal Poullennec. ”Our inspectors have highlighted new discoveries from hidden gems in small towns to modern luxuries in the city centre."

Michelin announced its first Quebec guide in 2025.
