There are major road closures planned in Montreal this weekend, including for the UCI Road World Championships. Road users are being encouraged to plan their trips in advance, or use public and active transit, where possible. UCI Road World Championships The 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Montreal are expected to result in significant changes to traffic and parking. On Sept. 21 and 22, the competitions are expected to result in the closure of the A-10 (Bonaventure) towards the city. To make it easier to travel between the South Shore and Montreal, free park-and-ride facilities are slated to be available at the Chevrier car park in Brossard. Free shuttle buses are set to run between the car park and the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) Du Quartier station on both days, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. A valid travel ticket is required to use the REM.
