A woman has been charged in connection with a Listowel crash involving a pedestrian earlier this year. On May 22, just after 9 a.m., emergency services responded to the incident at the intersection of Wallace Avenue North and Elizabeth Street East. Police said the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but on Aug. 6, they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. On Oct. 22, charges were laid against a 72-year-old Listowel woman. She has been charged with careless driving causing death.
