A Kitchener man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving an e-scooter and a vehicle in Waterloo. The collision happened in the Northfield Drive West and Parkside Drive area on Thursday around 6:35 a.m. Waterloo Regional Police Service investigators said a 19-year-old Kitchener man was travelling eastbound on the e-scooter when the driver of a westbound Toyota tried to change lanes and hit him. The Toyota was being driven by a 25-year-old man from Quebec. The Kitchener man was thrown off the e-scooter and Region of Waterloo paramedics took him to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Charges are anticipated.
