Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges following a series of reported assaults in Kitchener. Police said they received multiple reports around 7 p.m. Friday of an unknown male assaulting people in the area of Fallowfield Park. “Through the investigation, officers learned that several victims were randomly assaulted while walking on trails within the park,” police said in a media release. “The victims sustained minor physical injuries. Officers responded to the area and arrested the suspect without incident.” A 39-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with two counts of assault and two counts of criminal harassment. The investigation remains ongoing. “Waterloo Regional Police are asking any additional victims or witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward,” police said.
