A Guelph man is facing charges after the Waterloo Regional Police Service were told a man with what appeared to be a handgun was at a shopping centre in Cambridge. Officers went to the shopping centre along Hespeler Road on Friday around 7:50 p.m. and arrested a man who was outside the building. During the arrest, a BB gun was seized. No one was hurt during the incident. A 44-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of a weapon of a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing a peace officer and mischief under $5,000.
