A senior is dead and two children and an adult are seriously injured after a crash west of Edmonton on Sunday afternoon. Police say an SUV heading east on Highway 627 and another heading south on Highway 779 collided shortly before 1 p.m. The eastbound SUV was driven by a 42-year-old woman. Two children, ages four and six were passengers. All were taken to hospital with serious injuries. A 73-year-old woman who was driving the other SUV sustained life-threatening injuries and was air-lifted by STARS to hospital. She died in hospital two days later.
