RCMP warns of potential increased biker gang activity in Alberta

Police in Alberta are asking people to stay clear of outlaw biker gangs, as seeing them on roads and in public places in the province will become more likely this spring and summer.

RCMP said in a media release on Friday people can expect a larger presence of such gangs on highways and roads, and at gas stations. They also said people should be careful to avoid motorcycle gang activity because of the potential of a rise in conflict, as the rise of the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club could lead to clashes with the established Hells Angels.

“The Alberta RCMP, along with its policing partners, is actively focusing resources on the mitigation of criminal activity from these gangs and will continue to monitor activity to help ensure public safety, and the safety of motorists on Alberta roadways,” police said in the release.

RCMP asks anyone who suspects they’re seeing biker gang activity to contact their local police or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
