Flair Airlines is launching a new direct flight it says will open new travel opportunities between western and Atlantic Canada. This summer, the Canadian airline will begin offering two direct flights from Edmonton to Saint John, N.B., every week. Flair Airlines said Saint John is one of Edmonton’s largest Atlantic Canadian travel markets, but that before this, flyers had to make at least one connection. “Canada has so much to discover, and we want more Canadians to have the opportunity to experience it,” said Len Corrado, Flair Airlines chief executive officer (CEO). “We’re proud to be the first airline to connect Edmonton and Saint John nonstop, bringing two great Canadian cities closer together.” “This is an exciting milestone for Saint John and our region,” said Court Edeburn, president and CEO of Saint John Airport. “Direct access to Edmonton opens new opportunities for tourism, business and families travelling between Atlantic and Western Canada.” Flair Airlines said flights start June 15 but will be available to book starting Thursday for limited-time introductory one-way fares starting at $199 in both directions.
