VICTORIA - Police in Victoria hope someone has information that could help them solve the 32-year-old mystery of a missing man.

Dennis Crook was 34 when he was last seen on Vancouver Island on Oct. 16, 1985.

The British-born and educated, University of Nottingham graduate was reported missing by his friends a few days later.

Missing persons investigators say Crook is Caucasian, five foot nine inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair and would now be 66, with an expected medium to large build.

Officers have also contacted the North Yorkshire Police as they try to find Crook's sister Lillian, last known to be living in a suburb of York, England, in order to determine if she has any information about her brother.

Investigators want to speak to the Victoria friends who initially reported Crook missing and urge anyone with information to come forward.
